Beautiful
Shop of the Crafters, oak grandfather clock. This clock was handcrafted
ca. 1907 by Oscar Onkens Shop of the Crafters, Cincinnati, Ohio. This
clock has been passed down through our family and is in fine condition and
running in our home. All original to the best of my knowledge, this
clock was not listed in the 1906 SOC catalog which could make it a one of
a kind unlike the Empire, Munich, or Van dyke clocks which Onken created
for his catalog. The clock measures 17.5" wide by 84" tall by
14" deep. The clock is in the gothic revival style, with eight day
time, half hour strike, chain wind, deep-sounding cathedral gong, solid
cast-brass polished hands and brass cylindrical weights. Dial is quartered
oak with brass numerals. Original SOC labels on back of clock still
present but somewhat illegible due to aging. One small round brass plate
which attaches to bottom of one weight is missing but does not affect or
detract from the clocks workings or appearance and can be replaced by any
reputable clock shop. After doing much research on Oscar Onken and his
Shop of the Crafters, I truly believe this clock to be as close to a
one-of-a-very-few that were produced.

Seth Thomas "Balltop" or "Eclipse" shelf clock, ca. 1900. Appears all original, including "Eclipse" pendulum, with nice walnut case measuring 24" tall and 15" wide. Original painted dial is chipped from 5:00 to 8:00 positions and could benefit from restoration. Eight-day strike with alarm. Horton's Antique Clock Auction sold one very much like this one for $550 in January 2002.

French black enameled iron mantle clock. The eight-day spring movement strikes the half hour and counts the hour on a wire gong. The case is overall good condition, with a repair to the enamel on the right hand side of the roof edge. The dial is in excellent condition, with a porcelain dial ring. There is a solder repair to the gong hammer. The clock runs intermittently and appears to only need a routine cleaning/oiling to get it back into timekeeping condition.
